International Logistics Manager
About this opportunity:
GoEngineer is a provider of the most compelling design platforms in the industry, deploying engineering software and 3D Printing technology to make the design process innovative, efficient, and intelligent.
We’re looking for an International Logistics Manager to build and own our logistics function from the ground up. This hands-on manager-level role will bring practical experience, create structure, and improve how we move manufacturing equipment, products, and materials across international and North American operations. This role partners with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Order Management to coordinate with customers, vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers. Establishing scalable, cost-effective logistics and inventory processes.
Your key contributions in this role will be:
Own and improve end-to-end logistics processes, including imports of manufacturing equipment and materials from China into the United States, Canada, and Brazil; shipments between Brazil, Canada, and the United States; and domestic transportation across U.S. and Canadian destinations.
Navigate customs rules, duties, taxes, tariffs, Incoterms, HS codes, country-of-origin requirements, documentation, and other cross-border compliance needs.
Coordinate the movement of products, computers, hardware, repair tools, demo items, trade show materials, and other equipment.
Ensure customs forms and supporting documentation are complete and accurate, including for loaned or temporarily imported items.
Proactively manage risks related to customs clearance delays, port congestion, regulatory changes, and other issues that could affect delivery commitments.
Manage relationships and contracts with customs brokers, couriers, freight partners, and other logistics providers.
Evaluate current providers, contracts, pricing, and processes, and recommend a more effective path forward where appropriate.
Oversee and optimize inventory across multiple stocking locations in the United States and Canada, developing practical controls and replenishment processes that improve stock accuracy, material availability, and cost management.
Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand needs, solve issues, and build consistent processes.
Communicate shipment status, delivery schedules, and exceptions to internal teams and customers, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure shipment readiness and accurate documentation.
Build the foundation for a future logistics team by documenting workflows and SOPs, recommending tools and systems, and identifying where additional headcount may be needed.
Establish logistics metrics and reporting for delivery performance, freight costs, transit times, operational risk, and inventory health.
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and skills, however, even if you do not meet all the listed requirements, very interested candidates should still apply:
3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation management, customs, trade compliance, freight forwarding, or a related field.
Hands-on experience importing equipment or capital goods from China and managing U.S.–Canada cross-border logistics, with strong knowledge of Incoterms, commercial invoices, packing lists, HS codes, certificates of origin, duties, tariffs, and other compliance requirements.
Experience improving or building logistics processes, programs, or functions from the ground up.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and prevent costly shipping or compliance errors.
Experience managing or negotiating with customs brokers, couriers, freight partners, or other vendors.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance cost, speed, compliance, and customer experience.
Willingness to assess existing practices and introduce better solutions rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
Competitive Compensation Includes:
$80,000 - $110,000
