SOLIDWORKS Instructor

As an Instructor, you will be providing training in a classroom setting or through an online platform. This customer-facing position requires exceptional communication skills and proficiency in identifying product solutions that answer our customers’ challenges. You will become a SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) and provide support to a wide range of customers from many industries in the use of SOLIDWORKS applications and related solutions. Primary responsibilities include instruction, customer service, mentoring services, and creative content creation for Self-paced Courses. They create and follow lesson plans, choose any necessary curriculum or resource materials, and explain concepts and theories. They frequently serve as mentors or advisors, offering insight on how the course or program may align with the student’s professional or educational goals.
Instructors typically have extensive professional experience in the subject area they teach. Specific requirements and credentials vary depending on the role and level, but instructors typically hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. They must be well-organized and have a passion for supporting students and encouraging them to succeed.
Your key contributions in this role will be:
- Deliver remote training classes for SOLIDWORKS, CATIA V5, or 3DEXPERIENCE software.
- Deliver on-site and remote training classes for SOLIDWORKS, CATIA V5, or 3DEXPERIENCE software.
- Assist in determining the appropriate training solution based on customer needs before training delivery
- Delivering training for SOLIDWORKS developed tools and custom course material development
- Provide engineering software support on SOLIDWORKS, CATIA V5, or 3DEXPERIENCE as required
- Prepare course descriptions, outlines, and other related material.
- Provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for participants.
- Provide guidance and support to students in a positive manner.
- Act as a role model for students.
- Formulate classroom objectives based on course objectives.
- Assist in the inventory of training materials (if required)
- Create Self-Paced Courses per GoEngineer standards as required
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and skills, however, even if you do not meet all the listed requirements, very interested candidates should still apply:
- Exceptional communication and follow-up skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks
- Demonstrable leadership and expertise skills with the subject being taught
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent customer relations skills
- Communicate with students using both verbal and email correspondence
- Sound time management, attention to detail, and work ethic
- Possess excellent problem definition and problem-solving skills
- Resolve conflicts and issues with a positive attitude and professionalism
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize
- Willingness to travel for training held in one of our offices or at a customer site for private or custom classes not done online (if necessary)
- Strong SOLIDWORKS background
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office products, and related hardware devices
- Understanding of the ZOOM Environment for Online courses is preferred, but not necessary.
- SharePoint and NetSuite preferred, but not necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent job experience/credentials

Work Location:
This role may be remote in the US, or Hybrid/In person in any of our US offices. Occasional in-person trainings may be required.
Competitive Compensation Includes:
This role offers a salary of $60-$65k.
