About this position:

GoEngineer is looking to add a new Senior Software Engineer to join our development team that focuses on our customer-facing solutions. You’ll help us build, design, test, deploy, and modernize the web-based tools and portals our customers use every day to access support, manage their accounts, and interact with our services.

This role is full-stack and highly collaborative. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to make our customers’ experiences smarter, smoother, and more efficient. You’ll work on real user-facing systems, but not on the name-brand software we resell.

GoEngineer is a provider of the most compelling design platforms in the industry, deploying engineering software and 3D Printing technology to make the design process innovative, efficient, and intelligent.

Key Responsibilities of the Role are:

• Lead the design and development of software using modern .NET (.NET LTS, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, SQL)
• Migrate legacy ASP.NET MVC apps to modern SPAs using React or Angular
• Build and document secure, scalable RESTful APIs with proper authentication (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT)
• Write thoughtful unit and integration tests (MSTest, NUnit, xUnit)
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Bicep
• Contribute to improving team practices as we continue to evolve at enterprise scale
• Mentor peers and support junior developers, this role includes no direct reports but requires a collaborative, uplifting mindset
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders representing customer and business needs
• Balance priorities within an active backlog and adapt to changing project needs

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in back-end development using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, EF Core, and SQL
• 3+ years of experience building modern front-ends using React or Angular
• Experience migrating legacy systems to modern architectures
• Experience writing and maintaining your own automated tests
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (Azure DevOps, Bicep, etc.)
• Ability to manage changing priorities without losing focus or quality
• Mentoring mindset, you naturally support and uplift teammates with a range of experience on a range of projects
• Integrity and self-awareness in how you use ai tools in your workflow and communication
• Strong ability and interest in testing and quality-checking your own work
• Interest in customer experience, even though you’re not directly customer-facing you should embody customer centric views
• Familiarity with self-service or portal-style applications would be a bonus
• Previous experience with homegrown enterprise systems or platforms not required, but a plus
• Comfort working in a Scrum-ish Agile team inside a broader Waterfall-style organization is ideal

Hours and Competitive Compensation Includes:

This is a salaried position with the benefits outlined below. We’re looking for the right fit, and we evaluate total compensation based on experience and skills alignment.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, this position can be done most remotely, but we are looking for someone that is based in the Salt Lake City, UT area and able to occasionally work out of our headquarters at our Midvale office.
